'An Emphasis on Resistance'
Leyla Cárdenas is part of the exhibition “An Emphasis on Resistance” that opens at the Museo del Barrio, New York on October 30 and will be open until February 2, 2020. Cárdenas, one of the four recipients of the Cisneros Fontanals Foundation Annual Grants & Commissions Program for mid-career artists, presents “Destramando la retícula”: a video-installation where she unravels the weft of the projection screen as a metaphor of the ghostly connotation of architectural vestiges and natural geology.
