Beatriz González is part of the exhibition "Something Beautiful: Reframing La Colección" at El Museo del Barrio
The artwork titled "La isla del conejo de la suerte" (1993) made by the artist Beatriz González, makes part of "Something Beautiful: Reframing La Colección", an exhibition that cuts across traditional chronological, geographic and media-specific categories, reconsidering the Collection through new interdisciplinary approaches rooted in El Museo del Barrio's foundational history and legacy.
The exhibition will be open until March 10, 2024.
In 1998, The artist Beatriz González had her first international solo exhibition at El Museo del Barrio. Titled "Que honor estar con usted en este momento tan histórico", it was curated by Carolina Ponce de Leon and it was an ambitious retrospective that showed the different artistic eras of González from 1965 to 1997.
