Carlos Alfonso showcased in the exhibition “Espelhos d’Água Viva” in Brazil
Casas Riegner is pleased to announce Carlos Alfonso’s inclusion in the exhibition “Espelhos d’Água Viva”, presented by Solar dos Abacaxis in Rio de Janeiro. Curated by Bernardo Mosqueira, Catarina Duncan, and Matheus Morani, this exhibition brings together 12 artists who reflect on the intricate relationships between water, life, and humanity.
Through an ethical and spiritual dialogue with bodies of water such as rivers, rain, and springs, the exhibition aims to imagine collective forms of care and justice amidst current ecological transformations. Integrating knowledge from quilombola, riverine, and Indigenous communities, “Espelhos d’Água Viva” invites visitors to explore new ways of coexistence between humanity and nature, emphasizing spirituality and the preservation of water as a common good.
Visit the exhibition until March 8, 2025, at Solar dos Abacaxis: Mercado Central - Rua do Senado, 48 - Centro, Rio de Janeiro.
