We are pleased to announce that Miguel Ángel Rojas, Beatriz González, and Antonio Caro will be part of the exhibition ‘El tigre no es como lo pintan. Representaciones de la nación en la Colección de Arte del Banco de la República’ (Literally ‘The tiger is not as they paint it. Representations of the nation in the Art Collection of the Banco de la República’) at the Casa Republicana, Biblioteca Luis Ángel Arango, at Bogotá Colombia. Curated by Sigrid Castañeda, Julien Petit and Luis Fernando Ramírez “the exhibition takes the popular saying that refers to the false appearance of things. The exhibition proposes, in this sense, a reflection from various visions that modern and contemporary artists have raised of the nation and of its symbols to indicate, criticize or evidence the situation of the country. The exhibition is presented in the context of the 200 years of independence and the birth of a new nation in the world. ”
