"For Rent"

"Se Rentan" is a work designed to break up the white cube's architectural structure.. This space is reminiscent of a small theater stage, also close to a diorama, penetrable and filled with elements that shape the space and make the whole an open work.

These components are elements that behave in free association and lend themselves to personal interpretation according to the place the viewer occupies within the space. The objects in the work were elaborated, found and chosen through different moments in my artistic journey.

The title "Se Rentan" comes from cards that were handed out or placed at the entrances of buildings and places of easy public access. The cards served as a lure for immigrants to rent rooms. The advertisements were made in different languages in the interest of attracting those in need of housing to a speculative market.
