Beatriz González: Diary of Guernica
Diary of Guernica. Diary of a senseless work. Mural for Socialist Factory is diary written by Beatriz González between March 3rd and December 12th, 1981. It narrates the process of creating her reinterpretation of Guernica; a 12 meters long tile mural named Mural Para Fábrica Socialista (Mural for Socialist Factory). The diary describes her researches and gives technical insights but most importantly the text reveals the artist’s questioning and thinking process.
